There are times when what McLuhan has mcluhna say seems frighteningly prescient given that this was written in the early s. Mere instruction will not suffice.

Being mostly graphics, it was a very quick read. This was a much more interesting read than I suspected it would be before I started. With the omnipresent ear and the moving eye, we have abolished writing, the specialized acoustic-visual metaphor that established the dynamics of Western civilization.
