I was so glad I found this book at the library and happened to read it.
The heroine is about 50 lbs overweight. Yes, you heard me right. I thought that was very daring of this author. Usually the heroine is 15 pounds overweight and it’s such a huge deal.
The great thing is that the hero loves her the way she is. He doesn’t think she needs to lose weight. I kept waiting cconvenience this to be an issue. If you like romances with heroines who are not thin, you should read this one.
It was also good because of the great relationship between Katie and Jeremiah. He starts out just having the relationship with her so she can have a baby, but before it goes very far, he is deeply in love with her, and wants to marry her.
I also like that she was 34 and a virgin and felt her biological clock was ticking yes there are virgins in their 30s. Convdnience not unrealisticand this hunkalicious guy on a Harley rides into town and volunteers to do the deed. It sounds tawdry but it was very sweet how the story unfolded.

I definitely recommend this book for a feel-good romance. View all 6 comments. This is a read it and forget it for me. I enjoyed the story somewhat but with all katjie fishing and boring talk about the simple town life it was not very exciting.
I have to tell you I was very bored and feel asleep reading it. The hero wanted to get into the heroines pants without working for it i. Dating, or emotional involvement. He had the excuse he needed when she asked him to give up his sperm for her baby. He wanted to have sex with her. So he makes his acceptance conditional: Thinking she would never go for that?
They have one somewhat steamy encounter and the rest is just added to the fade to black 1 month later bull. Now this works to move the story along but we did not get the feeling that they feel in love. It was all sex for baby making we think, then we are told that they had a deeper connection. That they are in LOVE. I am not a child I would have liked to see them fall in love. This is why I gave it 2. We see more of it in the epilogue with them becoming a family.
Good for maybe a read but not a keeper for me. Safe no cheating, No drama at all, hero alway used protection as he never wanted kids and heroine is a virgin.

Jul 20, Jenny rated it it was amazing Shelves: Katie Andrews is a 34 year old virgin who wants to have a baby before its too late. Jeremiah Gunn is a handsome sexy man and the ideal candidate for the job. She asks him to help her have a baby and Jeremiah accepts but only if she agrees to share his bed and make a baby the old-fashioned way.
But they soon fall in love with each other and all bets are off.
Super sweet touching love story with two adorable characters! Jeremiah is a sexy brooding ex-marine and Katie a woman with some insecurities Katie Andrews is a 34 year old virgin who wants to have a baby before its too late.
Jeremiah is a sexy brooding ex-marine and Katie a woman with some insecurities about her weight but together they are perfect. The epilogue with their cute babies melted my heart! View all 8 comments. Jan 08, Jacqueline rated it liked it Shelves: Heroine was overweight which I know is a topic that is of interest to many readers.
One thing that I liked is that the cover model seems to reflect that and she is also pretty which I think is important to portray. By that I mean that we should all be able to realize that people with extra weight can be just as pretty as thin girls.
Nicely written, sweet and enjoyable. Aug 02, Emona rated it liked it Recommends it for: Recommended to Emona by: Katie was a sweet, loving and caring year old woman, loved her attitude and courage. Jeremiah, ex-Marine Corps, never wanted a family, a wife, children because of his past, and certainly not love.
But then Katie makes an outrageous request, and that’s when their journey begins. Like they say, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”, one request, brought forth the impossible. Loved the epilogue, but the story could do with a little more drama and romance. Thanks Jenny, for the re Katie was a sweet, loving and caring year old woman, loved her attitude and courage.

Thanks Jenny, for the recommendation. Jun 16, Corrine rated it really liked it Shelves: This was a cute one. Oct 16, Reanne rated it liked it.
It was cute and entertaining, and cpnvenience quick read that I could finish in one sitting. Sure, there are a lot of romance cliches and a lot of things that it would be unrealistic and unhealthy to really believe happen as the norm in real life, but it’s a cute, satisfying story.
I like conbenience the heroine is tall almost six footand that one of her hang ups is that she doesn’t think men want men as tall or taller than them.
As a tall but not that tall woman myself, I could relate.
Of course, that’s s It was cute and entertaining, and a quick read that I could finish in one sitting. Hix course, that’s somewhat mitigated by the fact that the hero is still taller than her anyway. Why does no one write romances about tall women and men of equal or lesser height? There still seems to be this idea that the cnovenience must be taller, which is depressing for tall women, as it really cuts down on our options. I thought it was interesting that she’s also 50 pounds overweight, which seems like a huge amount to me.
Considering the top BMI considered healthy is already what I think of as too much to really be attractive, 50 pounds over that seems huge. But that’s me, and I have a small frame, so that kind of excess weight on me would look a lot worse than it would look on some women.
Which brings up another annoying thing with romance novels like this. Even if the woman is big, she’s curvy in all the right ways. Well, not all of us are so lucky. Where are the romance heroines with denksky breasts who aren’t also model thin? Not to mention that it seems like books like this are trying to convince fat women that they can still get super hot guys, which I suppose is possible, but not really something chubby women should be banking on one of those denlsky that doesn’t quite seem to reflect the norms of reality.
Oh well, it’s a romance, and they’re not usually very realistic. Just like how your average man who doesn’t want commitment won’t magically fall in love with a woman or realize that he loves her already after having sex with her, but that seems like a much more dangerous fantasy to buy into.
I did like that the heroine was a virgin even in her cenosky, which is totally realistic even in modern day especially for someone from a small southern townthough I would have liked it better if the man was as well. Perhaps that’s too much to hope for from a former-Marine character, but I get so irritated at the assumption in practically all romance books that it’s totally fine for the man to have had lots of women previously, and the woman generally doesn’t even have a problem with it.
Once in a while, it would be nice to read a story where both the woman and the man are adult virgins. It also annoyed me that the major drama at the end was really just a manufactured conflict wherein the two characters fail to communicate and aren’t honest with each other. It’s quickly resolved, so it doesn’t matter for long, but it’s kind of a cheat as a major story climax.
Jul 20, Fanniny Moreno Zavaleta rated it really liked it Shelves: Really sweet, it has a 34 years old heroine that needs to win the battle against her biological clock and a hero that grew up with no one to call family so he doesn’t miss what he never had.
